so on thursday other members of the class got to play our game and rate it the members of our team got to rate and play other class members games which was good fun. i think we had the third best game with a rating of 16 which wasnt too bad. Our game was one of the games where people actually figured our who the killer was which is also a plus as some of the games where quite difficult to follow. so in conclusion i think we did a good job! we probably could have got the game finished earlier but there were some minor details left for us to complete the weekend before the assignment has to be handed in. so overall i think we did a good job!

So at last we have finished the game! yay!
I had a few technical problems with printers but eventually with a bit of help from a classmate got all the pages printed! Now we will see wheater the game will work or not! i dont think we have enough clues as i leaft that to the other team members to finish. the box was pretty bascic design with a picture of 2 masks on the from the picture is shown below. i didnt use the original picture i planned on using as it wouldnt have looked as good in black and white

for the box itself i used a underwear box with plain cardboard glued over the original pictures on the box. the envelopes which are inside in the box include the character descriptions foe each player of the game and the invitation. we had a few problems with the envelopes as they were rather small so we had to cut off some of the excess paper to get the invitations and character description into one envelope!
we used a second envelope to carry a copy of the map (drawn by Daniel) for each player. there were a futher 2 envelopes for the host which had the conclusion and the basic outline of how the game is played inside. so hopefully it all works out when we play the game on thursday!

Map update

The maps are finished and enveloped.

we were thinking of using this for the cover of our box and we have renamed the game the final curtain! yeehaw!

also this week we have started our storyboard in which we outline basically what happenened leading up to the murder. who was hanging about the theatre who was acting suspiciously. how the director was killed (he was run over by his own car gasp!) this will be useful and help us develop the game clues! im also going to work on the design of the box this week and Daniel is going to draw out a proper version of the map which we sketched roughly in this weeks meeting!
last week we handed in the first part of the game including characters costume suggestions and the invitations here is an example of one of the characters.

the patron: Hughbert thistlewick.

Age:60

Has Been a patron of the theatre for the last 20 years also a member of the theatre board and has invested large sums of his own cash in the theatre. He lives in a large mansion just outside the town and made his fortune by inventing a chilli sauce. Hes a well dressed old man with a large grey moustache, he always seems to be sucking on a pipe and carrying a walking stick because of a bad back . He seems to have gone a bit crazy since his beloved wife Eliza passed on a few years back. He also has it in for the director Hermin Kauff due to the fact that he believes that Kauff has beeen running the theatre into the ground for years and spending his money on overly extravagant productions that don’t seem to be a great hit with the public. Unfortunately for Hughbert the theatre board don’t agree and have full confidence in Kauff. Could this be enough of a motive for murder?

Costume suggestion|:
Tweed jacket with leather patches, pipe, fake moustache, walking stick
